Mission Statement
The Steinberg Winter Classic was created by Mr. Joe Fresta, Jr., a Two-Time testicular cancer survivor and avid hockey player.
The historic Steinberg Ice Rink will play host to the outdoor, 3 on 3 hockey tournament situated inside beautiful Forest Park in St. Louis. Forest Park is the largest city park in the United States.The fifty five year old outdoor ice rink is the largest in the midwest, and will accommodate three games simultaneously.The two-day tournament will be played outdoors, reminiscent of the games earliest days when it was played in the winter elements on frozen lakes and ponds.
All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Cancer Care Foundation, directly aiding local families with loved ones stricken with the deadly disease.
